Jessica Alba Shares Heartwarming Insight Into Family Life With Her and Cash Warren’s 3 Kids

Jessica Alba Details Her Special Bond With Her Teen Daughters (Exclusive)

Jessica Alba’s latest family update is sweet like honey.

That’s because, as the actress and her husband Cash Warren’s kids—including son Hayes, 6, and daughters Haven, 12, and Honor, 16, grow older—Jessica finds herself trying to hold onto the memories.

“They're so big,” she told E! News ahead of her show Honest Renovations’ Aug. 23 season two premiere on The Roku Channel. “I think that's the thing that's so wild is like they're just grown. Even though they’re 13 and 16, there's something about that. They're not little babies anymore.” (For more with Jessica and her Honest Renovations cohost Lizzy Mathis, tune into E! News tonight, August 22.)

In fact, Haven and Honor are old enough now that they’ve begun raiding their mother’s wardrobe—as evidenced by their appearance in Jessica’s former red carpet looks for the June 28 screening of their mom’s new Netflix film Trigger Warning.

It was a moment so poignant, that Jessica said, “It brings tears to my eyes.”

But don’t remind the 43-year-old that her oldest is almost approaching high school graduation—“Please don’t say that,” Jessica joked—because after all, she’s still grappling with the fact Honor is old enough to have a drivers license.

“She’s driving, she’s not quite at graduation yet,” the Fantastic Four actress clarified. “She’s gonna be a junior this year. I’m not ready.”

And on that inevitable leaving the nest, Jessica added, “I think that’s gonna be terrible and I’m gonna be sad about it. But she’s such a good girl, I’m so proud of her. She’s awesome.”

But as Jessica and Lizzy—who is also a mom to three—face back-to-school season, they’ve got some tricks up their sleeves to making the transition as smooth as possible.

“Right now it’s chaotic,” Lizzy joked, to which Jessica added, “Yeah right now it’s winding up.”

So to battle the chaos, Jessica said it’s all about building back the routines.

“Like, ‘You can’t sleep in until 11,’” she explained. “Like we gotta wake up at a normal time, we gotta go to bed at a normal time.”

And Lizzy agreed. “That’s probably the hardest part, getting them back into that routine,” she added. “But also prepping your house for back-to-school. Like making sure everything is organized, purging things that you don’t need. Organizing the kitchen, making sure the kids have everything they need, and organizing their rooms.”

As she joked, “Because summer was a free for all, they were in there wilding out in their rooms.”
